The ProjectHow can we prove the concept of Homeostasis using the human body?
For this project, we were given minimal instruction. The purpose was to observe the process of homeostasis in a given area. The one we tested was blood pressure. Therefore, we were to see how the body's blood pressure changed in response to an outside factor, than return to its original level.
Having done so, we were then to create a research article and poster that were presented to the class. The results are below. |

Reflection
Over the course of this project, there were several things that were done well, and somethings that could have been done better. In the former category, there are many things to be placed. As a group, the fact that we had all worked together before meant that we more cohesive as a team. This lead to a better brainstorming process, resulting in more imaginative ways to achieve our goals. Also, this lead to more communication of ideas regarding individual working areas. This resulted in a higher quality end product.
The result of us working together also involved some issues. As with all projects, there were some members that were off task. This was exacerbated by the friendly atmosphere, and resulted in a somewhat unproductive environment. The second issue with this assignment was more administrative. The instructions, while intentioned to be brief, were the cause for much confusion in the class/group. It was unclear what the goal was of the project, and had to be clarified in greater detail.
